《芝加哥代码》是由《盾牌》创作人Shawn Ryan创作，在芝加哥取景拍摄，讲的是芝加哥警察们与犯罪作斗争，曝光腐败分子的故事。按照FOX的计划，《芝加哥代码》将取代《别对我撒谎》的档期，定于2011年2月7日首播。 本剧主要演员有Jennifer Beals和Jason Clarke，前者曾出演过《别对我撒谎》和《拉字至上》，饰演芝加哥第一位高级女警官Teresa Colvin，而后者曾出演过《Brotherhood》，他将饰演一位经验老道的警官Jarek Wysocki。
Series follows the vendetta between an honest (female) police superintendent, Teresa Colvin and a corrupt Alderman named Gibbons, as she tries to prove Gibbons has ties to some criminals. And at the center is Cole's point man Jarek Wysocki, probably the most honest cop in the Chicago PD, who tries to clean up the city as well.
