沉迷于药理研究，后来与所在研究所理念不合，自己单独开诊所的江东健（欧阳震华 饰）是个宅心仁厚，为病人着想的好人。但由于过于痴心于自己的研究，导致他迟迟未遇见合适的对象，直到看到来诊所看病的方小芳（杨怡 饰），东健对小芳可谓一见钟情，想要在合适的日子对小芳一表心意，而小芳阴差阳错的成为了东健诊所的护士。 在一次开车的过程中，东健和别的车相撞，在生命弥留之际，东健对梦中所见的恶魔求情，希望让他放过自己，让其完成未完成的事业和感情。再次睁开眼，东健奇迹的存活，再次诊病的他遇到了前来看病的人——居然就是事故的另一方邰风（林峰 饰）。最令人惊讶的是，邰风的各项生理特征表明他已死去，原来他和恶魔签订了契约，成为了死亡代理人，前来找东健复仇……
We all experience birth, old age, sickness and death. Yet have you ever wondered who determines the time of our death? Respected pharmaceutical doctor Kong Tung-Kin starts up his own clinic after a drug trial incident. One day, he is approached by Toi Fung, who claims to be a reaper, for a patient's life. Refusing to do so, he suggests handing over his own. His reaction takes Fung by surprise. With a view to getting to know more about human being, Fung interferes with Kin's life, including his family and career. In addition, he runs after Fong Siu-Fong, a nurse who Kin has been secretly in love with. Later, Kin sells his soul to Fung for money and fame. As time goes by, he starts to become a totally different person, losing his kindness without himself knowing it.
评论不速之约。嗯…编剧，有～你～的～！。特别的片子。欧阳震华&林峯。执著。不速之客林峰。TVB的质量是越来越差了。人怎么会变成魔鬼？。一部至少7,8分的的悬疑剧被看了几集的人硬生生喷成4分。我自己迷乱了。
