本剧讲述了弗林医生（里斯·谢尔史密斯饰）在医学院毕业来到NHS医院后发生的一系列有趣的故事， 于2002年11月11日在BBC首播，直到12月16日结束，共6集，英国版DVD在2007年10月29日发布。片名TLC的本意是 "Tender Loving Care"（细心护理），但是在本剧中更代表着 "Total Lack of Concern"（缺乏睡眠）。
Dr.Flynn (Shearsmith) finds himself thrown in at the deep end when he gets his first job after leaving Medical School (where he failed his finals). Always the butt of the jokes by the other members of staff (being called on to revive dead people)he has to cope not only with the patients but mad collegues too - an ex surgeon,now the hospital chaplain and a german theatre assistant with a fetish for pain and suffering.
